When Bad Things Happen On Good Days

The Daily Fix

When Bad Things Happen On Good Days

By Dani Johnson from DaniJohnson.com
Have you ever had one of those days that started out great, but by mid-morning, you just feel like going back to bed? (Or maybe a day that started out that way...) You know, the days when you feel like everything that could go wrong has gone wrong? There's drama in the family. You can't seem to agree with your spouse on anything, and your kids are whining and complaining and they just will not obey.
Maybe you've got deadlines coming up at work, and your boss is demanding more than you feel like you can get done. Maybe you bombed a presentation with a potential client. Maybe you just feel like you've been a few steps behind all day. You're surrounded by negativity, and your emotions are running wild.
I've had those days. We all have. You may be having one today. But I want to make sure you know how to handle these kinds of days, because it could be that breakthrough is waiting on the other side of your 'bad day'.

A no-hype, straightforward approach to all-around success
Inside of you, there is potential for success that is greater than anything you've ever even imagined. However, there are some things that may cause you to overlook that potential and settle for a mediocre life. But you were designed for success! It's time to realize your full potential and live the life of success you were meant to live. Here's how.
Think about it - have you ever been having one of those days, and you come to an appointment or a task that had to get done, but you're just 'not feeling it' and you just want to back out and say, "Nope, not doing it!" But how many times has this stopped you from doing something that had the potential to produce a lot of results, whether it was in your business, at work, or in your family?
Because of your reaction to the bad things that popped up on your otherwise good day, you've let nonsense things get you off track. Because of your emotions and the small stuff that seems to chip at you throughout the day, you may want to pull out of an activity or task that you really need to do.
You've got to eliminate all the nonsense things you're focusing on. Emotions are one of those things.
We don't often think about the effect our emotions have in our lives. Instead, we just take them as they come. We let the stress, frustration, and anger throw our emotions all out of whack, and soon enough, we're 'having a bad day'.
But consider this... Those days that turn out to be not quite what you expected are actually setting you up for something so much greater. Those disappointments, those arguments, those curveballs, those mistakes are a perfect setup for breakthrough!
You have to remember that feelings and emotions often lie. And YOU control them; they do not control you!
When you choose not to waste your time on nonsense emotions, and you stop reacting to the curveballs that are thrown your way, you set yourself up to solve the problem instead of reacting to it. When you don't get caught up and tangled in fear, frustration, or stress, and instead, you focus on finding solutions, you will break through to a new level.
Some of my biggest breakthroughs have come after I pushed through these seemingly horrible days and I suck it up and do the things I don't want to do. When I chose to focus on what's going right instead of what's going wrong... When I chose to focus on what I can do instead of what I can't do... Those are the times I have gotten the biggest breakthroughs in my life!
So today I want to encourage you to push through! Don't let those 'bad things' knock you down and turn your good, productive day into a 'bad day'. Focus on pushing past those things that try to hold you back. Focus on getting results.
Because so often, the times we decide to push through are the times when we grow the most. Those are the times that refine us and really shape our character. But we cannot grow through that if we allow our emotions to determine our thoughts, words, and actions.
I hope this has helped you today. I hope next time you're having'one of those days', you will pull this out and you'll be reminded that today does not have to be a 'bad day'. Today is setting you up for massive breakthrough in your business, career, relationships, and personal life!
Please also go ahead and send this to your friends, family, and co-workers today. You could help them experience the same kind of breakthrough.
Have a GREAT day today, and I can't wait to connect with you again!
